We’re just a few days away from the very first Great Yorkshire Stairclimb!
Have you booked your place yet? If not, why not! If you book online we can allocate a space and time for you. However, you can now just drop-in to Bridgewater Place (a 2 minute walk from Leeds train station) any time between 10am to 4pm. Simply go into the main entrance (the Atrium) – a GYSC marshal will be on hand to direct you. Look out for the marshals in the purple t-shirts!
Don’t forget that all the net proceeds of your entrance fee goes to the Yorkshire Cancer Centre.
So, other than a massive sense of achievement, what do you get for completing Yorkshire’s tallest challenge?
Everyone will receive a fantastic G-Rex Fitness GYSC goody bag. Included within this bag (an Asda ‘Bag for Life’ no less) will a YCC t-shirt, an exclusive GYSC G-Rex Fitness Athlete wristband, bottled water, delicious cereal bars, fruit and a range of great vouchers and free passes from Xercise4Less gyms, Sweatshop and others.
You will also be given the opportunity to have your photo taken in front of the window on Floor 30. These digital photos will be downloaded onto Facebook and completely free for you to keep.
Finally, you’ll be deserving a drink and some food after climbing all those 522 stairs. We recommend that you head to Cuvee. This fantastic bar, with a waterfront location, couldn’t be much closer to Bridgewater Place. Head to Cuvee at Waterman’s Place, Granary Wharf and you’ll receive a 10% discount by showing your GYSC/G-Rex Fitness wristbands. The lovely people at Cuvee will also donate 10% of their revenue received from stairclimbers to the Yorkshire Cancer Centre.
We’ll be posting more useful information about the event over the next few days so keep a look out!
